Welcome Spring into your home

Spring, spring, spring... when I think about this season it comes into my mind my mother saying: do not forget your umbrella...it is spring! When I was a teenager with rebellious curly hair and with the hair straightener as my best friend, having the umbrella was really important, and even if I do not have my mother anymore to remind me that
(she lives in my hometown, Padova) I still carry it everywhere.

Nowadays, I use it mostly to protect me from the Scandi wind and snow...oh yes, still snowing a bit up here ufffff.....
The funny thing is that I wrote this blog on a beautiful sunny day, completely unaware of what would happen the day after.
I thought of waiting to post it, but then, I wondered what is really keeping us from dreaming of a Spring?
So I hope you will get along dreaming with me and preparing your home for the most beautiful season of the year.

Whether you are planning a full makeover or you are just interested in refreshing your home, to put an end to the hibernation period, I have some tips and tricks for you right below.

1. Bring some nature home
Picture
Spring means finally getting out from home more often, the first picnics in the park or the long walks by the river.
So, why not starting your makeover with trendy and stunning wallpapers with nature theme on it?
I honestly love each of them and I think it is a great solution to bring, that nature we love, home with us.
Green is also such a trendy colour, together with all 50 shades of yellow (mustard, magnolia, cream) and coral, they are the predominant colours of 2019. If you also have something light pink, it will create a stunning look.
Here below, there are some examples and direct link from one of my favourite wallpaper supplier: Sanderson.
MANILA
HEDERA
WOODLAND TOILE
2. Get some floral pattern
How often do you stop and stare at those beautiful, shy little flowers blossoming after a long dark winter from those naked trees? I do it every time and I take lots of pictures, of course!
What better than a floral pattern to influence bring joy and peace into your home?
Use it on curtains, cushions, wallpaper or upholster an old armchair or sofa.
Here below, I have selected some
gorgeous fabrics from one of the collections at Designer Guilds that would work so well in creating that fabulous Spring look we all were waiting for.

3. Change your
tableware
As a real Italian girl, I obviously love good food, so the first thing I did when I saw the first sunshine rising, it was actually changing my whole tableware!
I was so done with those dark reds, mahogany, grays... hallo to greens, pinks and yellows!
I like to have a center table and table cloth on my dining room, always ready to give an impression of tidiness and a nice look to the room.
I leave you the link to one great company I love for tableware: Emporio Zani. They create wonderful dishes in porcelain and melamine which I totally mad about. Touch-Mel is their collection made in 100% pure melamine with gorgeous colours and design. They are all Made in Italy, and they ship worldwide, so really... go and order them too when you are done reading this blog post!

I hope this post has inspired you with great ideas to welcome Spring 2019 into your home.
If you feel confused on how all this could work harmoniously together, I leave you with a moodboard I created.
I love moodboards because they really help me to visualise what I imagine in my mind
(if I got a crazy idea that does not work, they will show me... thanks God!).

If you have any doubt on how this could fit into your home, or wish to do differently but you are feeling insecure,
just pop a message to my email interiorbyambrosi@gmail.com. I am here to answer any question, as there are no silly questions whatsoever, and to assist you finding the right supplier and materials for you.
You can see me as your "interiors' best friend" as I would be glad to share good vibes and some advice.

Thanks for reading and may we all have a lovely Spring!
