Easter is approaching and so that time of the year to gather together with your relatives.
If you are a big family, like mine, this means days of preparations ahead the big day.
When I was living with my parents and sister, I always liked to take care of the house, decoration, tableware, flowers and candles, while my mother and sister would prepare tons of food that could satisfy an entire army.
I think those days were my first steps into my beloved profession.
Today, I still find much more exciting polishing the glasses, preparing the flower decorations and choosing the right ornaments than cooking. I would like to share some tips and DIY ideas for this Easter season.

The first thing I like to prepare, it is usually the centrepiece. I prefer to have flowers in the middle of the table, usually Tulips or Lilis, and then I put in a bowl some painted eggs. If you do not want to paint eggs, you can put all over the table chocolate eggs instead. It will still create a fun and cozy atmosphere on your table.
You can have the flowers' bouquet in a pitcher, for a more original and creative deco style.
Here in Sweden it is very popular to have candles as your centrepiece, on a plate with some moss and little bunnies.
If you are in the UK and you have an afternoon tea set, you can use that instead, with lots of colourful eggs on it.
Be creative and do your centrepiece the way it inspires you the most.

Decorate your table with some beautiful porcelain plates, wine and water glasses.
In the link below, the world famous interior designer Kelly Hoppen has some very unique tableware and glassware at very attractive prices and lots of mid season offers that you can find here.
Get inspired by her extraordinary style and don't miss these incredible offers.

Finally, if you have some extra vases, you can decorate them with colourful eggs, flowers or your favourite scented candle. You can find here below the latest scented candles for spring by Molton Brown. You haven't tried them yet, do it now, they are really amazing and absolutely my favourite.
